I just like the idea of optimizing every level in this game, I think it would be, you know, fun? Hell, there’s not even a stat that tracks total score. I don’t think it’s likely we’ll get an impossible badge, I think the closest we’ll get is greg saying that maybe he’ll consider adding one at a later date.
I think it’s unlikely that 100k will be the right difficulty. It would take some time to figure that out. Now I do agree that it’s not at all clear where the threshold for an impossible badge would be. There is nothing inherently wrong with the idea of an impossible badge for total score. > I’m not sure why we’re even discussing a coin based badge for MoneySeize, particularly since it deincentivizes playing through the game yourself.> I’m not sure why we’re even discussing an award based badge for Amorphous+, particularly since it deincentivizes playing through the game yourself.> I’m not sure why we’re even discussing a bandaid based badge for Meat Boy, particularly since it deincentivizes playing through the game yourself. You’re basically saying that any badge, if sufficiently hard enough to encourage the player to use a walkthrough, is a bad badge and so should either not be made or should be made easier. > I’m not sure why we’re even discussing a score (time) based badge for CW3, particularly since it deincentivizes playing through the game yourself. achieve a combined score of 35,000 across all levels (medium) complete “Land Here” or build some nominal number of collectors/destroy some nominal amount of Creeper (easy) So I’d say a reasonable badge set for CW3 would look like: Judging from my scores and those on my friends list so far, and based on the four level medium on CW2, 30,000 to 40,000 points seems to be an appropriate threshold for this. Assigning a higher score based badge seems overly arbitrary (123 is right that, even setting aside walkthroughability, it would be difficult to determine with a game of this nature _where_ a score reaches the impossible threshold).Ī better use of aggregate score would be for a bridging (medium) badge this would eliminate the rigidity of “you must complete x levels” for the medium, allowing the player to choose between improving prior levels or completing a new one, without forcing the decision.
#Creeper world 3 arc eternal guide series
Previous installments of the series have had their badges premised on basic game completion, and that works here: completion is _easily_ long enough for a hard.

I’m not sure why we’re even discussing a score (time) based badge for CW3, particularly since it deincentivizes playing through the game yourself. 100k might be better score point, as even I could go faster, if I replay them. > edit: in terms of minutes, my times on each map was: 15/26/33/31/26/31/46/30/50/44/41/86 with a total score of 74,681.ħ2k score seems to me pretty low as I have 97991, but then again I have been playing CW3 Arc Eternal since the release back in the October. most maps took over 30 minutes to do, and the last one took the longest (over 60m but not 120m) > i caught the addams family reference! and just completing all maps should be enough for a hard badge.

> Complete all maps with a total score above 72,000 > For Creeper World 3, I’d humbly suggest a couple badges:
